We have an announcement and you’re hearing it here first: we’re working on a garden course!

The course will replace and surpass the guides in every way. This is going to be the definitive guide to growing food in small spaces. We’ll cover everything from planning to preserving, with exciting new modules on growing food in shady sites, indoor vegetable production, and even basic beekeeping.

This is the course I wish existed when I was studying agriculture in university. So I created it! I can’t wait to share more over the coming weeks. Watch this space!

This week I’m thinking about…

March! I can’t believe it’s just one week away. It’s time to shake off the cobwebs, both literally and figuratively.

This week I spent some time looking after a few sweaters that needed some love. I sewed a hole in the armpit of one and gave the rest a good de-pilling.

As I folded them and put them away, I was struck by what a pleasant feeling it gave me to invest time into restoring something, rather than taking the easier route of tossing it aside or replacing it with something new.

It brought to mind the work we do in the garden. The satisfaction we feel by investing time into caring for our gardens is worth the effort, even when we could source from a grocery store in two minutes what takes us months to grow.
