This week I’m thinking about…A mid-season reset. I’ve done a pretty good job of slowing down and resting more this winter and I’ve noticed some really positive changes. However, this week I can feel Mother Nature waking up and it’s surprising how much I’ve been affected. The days are bright, the birds are singing, and my mind is busy. I’ve had to remind myself on numerous occasions this week that February is still a winter month. The whole point of resting this winter was to recharge after the busy season and avoid burning out again by the harvest. So I’m trying to be mindful of not taking on too much too soon. Yes, there is a little more to be done in February, but not more than setting up a grow station and maybe starting a few really early varieties. I’ve enjoyed the more grounded, relaxed mindset I’ve been able to cultivate this winter. I don’t want to lose that at the first sign of momentum this season. I hope this mid-season reset will help me continue to rest and recharge, even as the weather continues to improve. - Bridgette
