This week I’m thinking about…

My balcony garden makeover. Most of you will know that my “cottage corner” is my balcony and I spend as much time as I can out there gardening, listening to the birds, and warming my bones in the sun.

Over the years, I’ve added to my balcony piecemeal. A planter one year, a patio chair the next. It grew cluttered so last summer I became determined to streamline the area without compromising on growing space. I was fortunate to find a duo of raised planters that fit perfectly with the solution I envisioned.

The transformation can be found on the Cottage Corners Instagram. There are a few more changes to come but I’m so pleased with the results thus far. The best part is that the new planters are covered, giving me hope for higher yields, as long as the covers keep the squirrels out.
