This week I’ve been thinking about…Is now a good time to tell you? Ever since I created Cottage Corners, I’ve struggle with how much of myself to share. It’s tempting to make it very personal. After all, I’m the specialist. I write all the content, I take all the photos, I grow all the food in those photos, and I’m passionate about what I do. However, I’ve erred on the side of caution, preferring to keep the brand identity separate from my own. While it will always be a part of me, I think it makes sense that Cottage Corners and I might each grow and change in ways that are distinct from one another. Today though, I’m getting personal. Because we have such a tiny little team behind the scenes, big life events can have an impact on what you get from us. You were caring when I had to take time away for my surgery, and then compassionate when I lost my father. Today, happily, I have better news. My fiancé and I will be welcoming a baby girl into our lives in January. So you might notice ebbs and flows in our content over the next few months; now you’ll know why. Thank you for coming along for the ride and sharing in this great love for growing food. Cheers to the next generation.
