This week I’m thinking about…The beauty of winter. My recent cross-country ski adventure was eye-opening. Among the towering trees, the scent of pine, crisp air and the crunch of snow beneath my skis created a profound sensory connection to my environment. It was truly a magical experience. The cyclical nature of gardening has made me more aware of the seasons and their unique qualities. By leaning into the natural rhythm of the year, I find myself savouring winter in a completely new way. I’ve come to see it as a time for reflection, rejuvenation, and play. I intentionally chose to learn cross country skiing this year as a way to experience even more winter. There is something extraordinary about winter’s capacity to nourish the soul. It has become the season that just keeps giving and the joie de vivre it has brought me is unexpected and deeply appreciated. - Bridgette
